Best Practices Benchmarking Grants
All employees are asked to research best practices and determine how they might be adapted to improve services
at the college. Best Benchmarking Grants will provide funding for the actual implementation of those great “benchmark”
projects and ideas. The most innovative projects will be selected for implementation through a competitive process.

Career Faculty Innovation Fund
This fund will allow faculty to participate in professional development activities and bring innovation back to their
classrooms. With paid release time from classes and funding for conference fees and materials, faculty will be able to
conduct research, pursue externships in local businesses and organizations, and take advantage of professional
conferences and symposia to enhance teaching.

Leadership Capstone Grants
The college is committed to building leaders from within through its Leadership Development Program. To complete the
program, participants create a “Capstone Project” addressing an area of need within the college. With these grants,
awarded on a competitive basis, participants will be able to implement their creative solutions and the plans they develop
in the leadership program.

Technology Impact
Technology drives our world. For students to be marketable and relevant
in today’s workplace, they must be competent in the very latest technologies and equipment — and able to stay ahead of an ever-advancing curve. Every curriculum, in degree programs and continuing education courses alike, demands technological expertise. As employees, you know public funding only provides a fraction of the resources required to ensure that our campuses and our classrooms have the state-of-the-art equipment and technologies we so desperately need.

Invest in Wake Tech – Invest in YOU

Faculty and staff are the driving force behind everything Wake Tech does for students, businesses and the community. You are the reason the college
is so successful and your support during this campaign is essential.

Each year, we ask employees to participate in the annual employee campaign, which typically takes place during fall semester. Since the college and the
foundation are in the midst of The Ripple Effect Campaign, our traditional annual employee appeal will become part of the overall Ripple Effect.

As we do every year, we encourage you to participate in the employee campaign. The only difference is that this year, the campaign will have a
different look and feel; and you’ll have additional areas and initiatives for which to support, if you choose.

If you are a current contributor – THANK YOU – employee support is the cornerstone of any college fundraising effort. We hope you will continue
your support – whether it’s to your favorite scholarship, departmental fund, or one of the new initiatives established through the Ripple Effect Campaign.

If you have not participated in previous employee campaigns, we hope you will find something in the Ripple Effect Campaign that inspires you to participate.

Every dollar counts. Every dollar makes a ripple.
